Nite News 10/28/08

 Ice Is Coming!! 

Yesterday, we had our first frost of the season here in Madison.  Our backyard fish pond has not skimmed over yet, but those goldfish are looking a bit sluggish.  It must be making ice someplace nearby.
 
I'll attempt to publish a Nite newsletter, with a dues notice around November 10th.  If you have:
- some news tidbit, 
- regatta report, 
- regatta prediction, 
- weather prediction, 
- for sale, 
- item wanted 
- or anything else that's mostly legal that you'd like to see in print...
please send it along.  
 
If you know of a boat that's changed hands please send along the sail # and contact info for the new owner.
 
I ran into a few Nite sailors this summer here at the A Boat regatta on Mendota.  Hope that you all have had a good off-season.  
 
By the way, we have yet to complete our National Regatta for 2008.  If we get some early, sailable ice we could call the regatta on.  Please send your ice reports along.
 
Better dig your boat out of the barn sometime soon!
