Early Ice Report

I saw some ice in a puddle on the west side of Madison yesterday. It was a small puddle, but just the same, it was ice. Perhaps it'll be cold enough to sail before too long.

I can delay no longer. It's time for me to deal with some of my duties as your Commodore.

2007 Newsletter: Fred Miller and I will be sending out a short newsletter, dues notice and regatta NOR shortly. Before we do that however, do you have any interesting tidbits of Nite news to contribute from your neck of the woods? New Parts built, old parts fixed, a boat that changed hands, stuff for sale, early season ice, regatta traveling plans or any other interesting gossip that we can use to occupy the white space looming before us right now. If so, then please send it QUICK to me. How QUICK? How about by Saturday 12/1.

New Members: Has anyone near you picked up a boat recently or sold a boat? Is he or she on the list? If not, please let me know.

Officers: Now that you've read this far I'll ask if anyone would like to throw his or her hat into the ring for Vice Commodore? It would be great to have someone involved with the association from outside Wisconsin so that we can all be connected a bit better and help promote the class. Please let me know if you're willing to step up and do your part.

I guess that's about it for now.

Stay in touch and think ice.
