Rains - In December?

Yes, it does rain in December here in the northern climes.  Unfortunately, that means the lakes that did freeze and had some of the best ice in years are now open or unsafe.  Lake Minnetonka, MN might be sailable as might Pewaukee Lake, WI but the brave ice checkers will have to get out there to find out.  Bantam Lake, CT is reported to have ice and could also be sailed this weekend should cold temperatures persist.  Thanks to Robert Lee of Bantam Lake for his report.  Let's see some racing out there!!!!!

Otherwise, everyone is in wait-and-see mode.  Oh, well.

Grand Slam Calendars

4LIYC Renegader Tim Stanton has produced a fantastic 2003 calendar featuring his photographs from the Grand Slam Regatta recently sailed on Lake Kegonsa.

You can order one securely online from Tim's website. A portion of the proceeds will help support the Four Lakes Ice Yacht Club.
